Making Cushions for a Headboard Bench

by | Aug 6, 2018 | Being Crafty

Today I will be talking about the cushions I made to go with the awesome Headboard Bench my husband Robert made for me.  I started out with a rectangular cushion for the bottom.  This one measures 38″x 17″ and it’s zippered in the back for easy cleaning.

It’s a win for everyone, really.
For the next part I went round and round with different designs but I settled on three square cushions for the back and a cylindrical cushion for each arm.
These square ones are 17″x 17″ and are pillow forms that I made with muslin and some super spongy stuffing.  The Pillow cases are zippered as well.
These are 15″ x 5″.  I made these by carving foam leftover from the seat cushion into 2 cylinders and wrapping them in batting.  These are also zippered.
Needless to say I was very pleased with the final product.  It’s incredibly sturdy and very comfortable.  If you want to see the project from the beginning please check out the post Making a Headboard Bench
